Contract to support college and career readiness programs for BOCES part of the New York State Contract Instructional Technology Contract Consortium
Passport For Good was recently awarded a statewide contract through Erie 1 BOCES to provide college and career readiness support to school districts throughout New York state. This 3-year cross-state contract for the New York State Contract Instructional Technology Contract Consortium allows Western New York Regional Information Center (WNYRIC), a division of Erie 1 BOCES, to offer Passport For Good to the 28 BOCES and their respective component school districts.
Students of participating BOCES and/or their component school districts will be able to securely chronicle their community service, career development, and participation in extracurricular activities. All of the student’s experiences are then aggregated into a verifiable non-academic transcript they can use for college and career readiness. Schools are also able to quantify and analyze student engagement data, thus providing a comprehensive way to measure college and career readiness data in real-time. BOCES that are part of the consortium and their component school districts can purchase Passport For Good to utilize with programs that support college and career readiness initiatives.
“Preparing students for success is at the ethos of Passport For Good. Our partnership with Erie 1 BOCES allows us greater visibility across New York state and the opportunity to work with more school districts to produce better student outcomes,” said Steve Cina, Passport For Good executive director. “We look forward to supporting school districts and their college and career readiness initiatives.”
Erie 1 BOCES works with 19 western New York component school districts offering cost-containing instructional and non-instructional services. Through its WNYRIC program, an information and learning technology service provider that delivers technical support, resources, and solutions for school districts, schools have access to technology support services like Passport For Good.
Passport For Good allows students to begin building their resume for college and career readiness by focusing on and highlighting their strengths and engagement outside the classroom.
