Green Tech High Charter School has signed on to use the Passport for Good software platform to enhance the school’s service learning program and encourage students’ community engagement. Green Tech enrolls approximately 360 boys in grades 9-12.

Passport for Good, a software startup that makes it easier for students and businesses to track community service hours, has raised more than $500,000. The company was started by Gayle Farman in 2015. Farman got the idea when her daughters were preparing to apply to college, and there was no easy way to track community service hours.
Ithaca College will begin to utilize the Passport for Good software platform to encourage and capture student and community engagement. It is the first college to join the service. The School of Business will spearhead the effort as the first academic unit of the college to use the Passport for Good system.
Passport for Good, the only BOCES-approved software-as-a service that captures community engagement for organizations, announced today that it had raised $525,000 in an oversubscribed seed round of funding led by a group of regional business leaders.
